To All of Mrs. Gertrude's family, you have certainly lost a fine southern lady. She had a smile and a kind word for everyone she met. She was a faithful mother and a faithful leader to her many employees at Hargray. I will always remember that no matter what she was always there. If we can only follow her example. I know that you will truly miss her, but I know that she is dancing in heaven with Jesus and His angels now. Love and Blessings, Kent and Laura Seley employees from 1985-2004

I am very sorry for your loss. Ms. Gertude was truly a wonderful, noble, hard working lady. I will always remember her wonderful smile and the laughter we shared about some of the things we Southern ladies took for granted until we saw people who had no clue how much fun some of these simple things could be, like picking wild flowers by the road side and knowing that the cows would not chase you. She was a wonderful person and beautiful example of what more of us should be like. As hard as it is to let her go, just know that now she is enjoying all the pleasres of Heaven. With heart felt simpathy, Marcia

Aunt Gertrude will be missed by all who new her! She was blessed by God to be a blessing to so many people. Her memories will live on with each of us. Our love and prayers go to Roy, Gloria, and all the family at this time! As I've thought of Aunt Gertrude today, the scripture in Psalm 91:16 came to mind as well, 'With long life I will satisfy him, and show him My salvation.' She loved the Lord and her church, and God honored His word to her with a long and satisfied life!
